Banda sonora de la ceremonia en Londres 2012 ya es Nº1 en iTunes

Para nadie pasó inadvertido el destacado e innumerable catálogo musical inglés en la apertura de los Juegos Olímpícos de Londres 2012. Es por eso, que luego de su primer día a la venta el álbum recopilatorio cuenta con 10 mil copias vendidas durante sus primeras 24 horas en la tienda iTunes de Apple. 

El soundtrack, que tiene un costo de U$19.99, llamado "Isles of Wonder: Music For the Opening Ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games" contiene temas de David Bowie, The Pet Shop Boys, Chemical Brothers, Dizzee Rascal, Sande Emeli, Arctic Monkeys, U2 y Underworld entre otros, y fue dispuesto para su descarga sólo algunas horas después de terminado el evento, encabezando de inmediato el ránking de iTunes en Inglaterra, Francia, Bélgica y España, mientras que el Estados Unidos llegó al puesto Nº5. Además, podrá ser adquirido en formato físico el próximo 6 de agosto.

Para el cierre de los Juegos Olímpicos, Universal Music también lanzará un álbum que contrará con artistas británicos como The Who.
